Want To Love Your Work?
Find Out How With Our
Connect Head & Heart Approach

Do you love your job?

Do you jump out of bed early Monday morning excited to take on the new challenges of your career?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone.

In fact, according to a survey by Deloitte, 80% of people are unhappy with their jobs
That’s a pretty sad statistic considering that the average person spends 90,000 hours of their life at work!

We believe you deserve more.

Work isn’t just about the tasks we do for our company.

It’s about life.

It’s about making decisions that will help us grow or keep us stagnant.

It’s about building relationships with our co-workers, supervisors, suppliers and clients.

And if we are stressed or unhappy at work, it spills over into other areas of our lives.

It can affect our relationships, our health and our own personal joy.

Having work that doesn't fit isn't easy and it can lead to significant stress.

The dangers of stress at work...

It's no secret that a person who is under stress will often make poor decisions. The consequences of these decisions lead to more stress.

It's a vicious cycle that keeps us worried, drains our energy and unproductively, keeps us away from a solution.

In hunter and gatherer days, the brain signalled danger to the body by releasing cortisol and adrenaline into the bloodstream.

This initiated a fight or flight response. It was a good thing. It helped us to survive.

The problem today is that the portion of the brain responsible for this does not know the difference between a ferocious wild animal and a stressful situation at work.

If you are under stress all the time, the release of cortisol and adrenaline doesn’t stop. And that’s a bad thing. Long term, it is harmful.

Here's the part most career companies miss...

For many people, feeling unable to make a career or job change is like being on a rollercoaster.

Some days you feel excited and hopeful about your prospects and other days are filled with uncertainty, disappointment and worry.

But what if there was a switch you could flip?

Imagine that this switch could stop the emotional rollercoaster.

Imagine that it could bring you peace and clarity.

Imagine that it could even help you make good decisions that advance your career.

At Careers by Design we help you find that switch

For over 16 years we've worked with clients each and every day
and what we discovered is this:
the fastest path to career happiness is to teach powerful skills that help you get off the emotional rollercoaster so you can be at your best.

Using proven methods and scientific data, our coaches help put you in touch with the power of your heart.

Career coaching with heart!

Many cultures and civilizations have acknowledged the heart as the seat of emotion or even possessing a mind of its own. But did you know that there is scientific evidence to support that?
This concept is explored extensively by HeartMath, a non profit organization who have studied the crucial link between our heart and brain for over 30 years.
By using easy to learn HeartMath techniques such as heart focus, heart breathing and heart feeling, you can use the power of your heart to affect every other system in the body.

This can help you to be resilient in any stressful situation.  Sadly most other approaches to career counselling miss this vital piece.  At Careers by Design, we've found this holistic approach to be invaluable, clearing the clutter of the mind and building resilience from deep within.

So if getting what you want faster and easier and with less stress than the limited methods of most career counsellors or coaches is what you want - then you are in the right place!

Everything you need + more!
